While the prospect of attending IRL fashion shows in any great number seems far off, designers are forming new ways to showcase their collections and express their ideas now.
London Fashion Week will be entirely digital, with content rolling out on londonfashionweek.co.uk. The types of content that might appear on LFW’s site could range from a digital lookbook to a brand video to a written-out designer Q&A or even a podcast. The LFW digital platform will also contain virtual showrooms, as per a release, that will help connect brands with retailers, adding a business component to the week.
Paris’s haute couture Fashion Week - Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode will host videos from accredited couture maisons on a dedicated platform from July 6 to 8.
The Chambre Syndicale has 16 French brand members that are legally allowed to participate in the couture week, including Chanel, Christian Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier, Maison Margiela, Schiaparelli, and Givenchy.
Milan Fashion Week officially named Milano Fashion Week Digital. From July 14 to 17, Milan Fashion Week will be happening in a new digital format, intended to unite Italian fashion designers and promote their messages across virtual platforms. Officially named Milano Fashion Week Digital
