Dead skin cells are what magnify the appearance of stretch marks. As an incredible natural exfoliant with a good penetrating quality that removes these dead skin cells, sugar does wonder in lightening the appearance of stretch marks, and at the same time, rewarding you with soft and supple skin.


How to use – form a paste with sugar using water and apply on the affected area in circular motion for about 10 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and repeat twice in a week.


2. Aloe Vera Gel


One of the natural ingredients that speed up the fading process of stretch mark is aloe vera gel. Because of its ability to increase collagen production which is essential in healing of wounds, the gel in aloe vera is a great remedy for fading stretch marks scars.


It can either be used alone or combined with other natural ingredients such as cocnut oil, honey, lemon juice, or olive oil.


How to use- scoop one tablespoon of fresh aloe vera gel and massage on the affected area. Leave on for 5 minutes before rinsing off. Do this at least once in a day.

3. Shea butter

The amino acids and protein in eggs whites make it a good natural ingredient for restoring the youthful appearance of skin, reducing the appearance of stretch marks as well as regenerating the skin.


How to use - whip one egg white until smooth. Apply with a cotton wool on the affected area and leave it on till it dries off. Rinse off with lukewarm water and apply a good moisturizer afterwards. Repeat the process twice a week for faster results.

5. Vitamin E

Also known as tocopherol, has among other excellent features moisturizing, hydrating and collagen production properties capable of fading a wide range of scars and blemishes including those of stretch marks.


Often times, expectant mothers are advised to apply vitamin e oil or lotion on their growing tummy to minimize the appearance of stretch marks.
