Rich or poor, celebrity or not - it doesn’t matter which category you belong to - the novel virus COVID-19 is no respecter of man.
Why are we sharing this? The news has it that there’re certain people who’ve refused to either acknowledge the existence or take the virus seriously despite the warnings, the lockdown and series of orientation going around.
In other words, in case you’re one of those certain people having a hard time taking the virus to be a real thing, we hope that by listing out a few names of people you’re familiar with who’ve at one point tested positive to covid-19, we can somehow convince you that the virus is not only real, it’s fatal.
This is important not just for your own safety but for the safety of everyone around you. Your actions affect all.
1. Idris Elba

Right after his test confirmation of being positive to covid-19 alongside his wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba, the popular actor had thought he was going to die. Sabrina Dhowre Elba shared that it was a scary moment for them both not knowing what would or could happen next while they were in isolation. Fortunately, they both survived it and as of today are doing perfectly well.
Shortly after this life changing experience by the couple, they started a UN covid-19 fund for poor farmers which according to the actor had to do with their recovery from the virus.
2. Angela Kinsey

After her mother, daughter, stepsons, Cade and Jack, and husband Josh Snyder tested positive for COVID -19, Angela Kinsey knew it was only a matter of time before she came out positive as well.
“I knew the odds were against me since I was living with four COVID positive people.” she shared on her Instagram story on December 29, 2020.
Well, we can only keep praying and hoping for things to turn around for good for Angela and the rest of her family.
3. Ellen Degeneres

The 62 year old well-known American comedian and a popular television show host took to her social media handles in December to announce that she’d been tested positive to COVID-19.
She shared on December 10th, “Hi everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive for COVID-19,”
She further added, "Fortunately, I'm feeling fine right now," This of course, resulted in her show being on hold till January.
4. Ashanti

Though now fully recovered, Ashanti revealed she tested positive to COVID 19 following her arrival to the US from Africa on December 13, 2020.
However, the artist made it real clear that she didn’t get infected from Africa but from a family member.
“I did not get COVID from being in Africa or anything like that”. She reiterated and went further to say, “I actually got it from a family member when I came home. I came home and I hugged a family member who ended up being positive. I didn’t know he was positive; he didn’t know he was positive, so when he went to get tested, I was like, ‘Oh f*ck.”
On January 2 fortunately, she shared on her twitter handle, “Starting off the new year Amazing and COVID free!!! Got my negative results back 2 days ago! Happy New Year y’all. My parents and I got our negative results back right in time to start off the New Year healthy, happy and loved.” she continued, “Wishing y’all all an Amazing 202WON”

We could go on and on with the list but you get the point already. COVID -19 is as real as the flu or diabetes. To avoid being a victim, it’s highly imperative that you take the necessary preventive measures such as staying away from the crowd, using nose masks, regular washing and sanitizing of hands.
Stay safe and stay healthy.
