We are raised in a world where we are superior among all creations. We are blessed to have a wide range of options for our food and other necessities. Nonetheless, we must take note, as Spiderman said, “With great power comes great responsibility.” We must be aware of our surroundings. Our situation these days call for us to advocate or even go all-out for veganism or vegan life because of its benefits. Can you do it? If you are not sure yet, let me share with you some benefits if you embrace the vegan life.

Loving Yourself and Making Wiser Choices
We are the primary benefactors of becoming vegan. This must be our ultimate favorite benefit of veganism because it allows us to lose weight and achieve the dream body that we want. In doing so, we are also helping the body reduce the risk of having different kinds of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, kidney illnesses and heart problems. Our mental state and consciousness are also affected positively as many vegans are also advocates of non-violence, the environment, animals and sustainability.
In line with this, many vegans have chosen life of non-violence and respect to everything that has life. Related to this, they ensure that they do not purchase any products made from animals including shoes, bags and make ups. They help bring awareness to other shoppers that there are healthier alternatives such as brands made from natural and local products. I will need a separate write-up to show you all brands advocating going natural. I am excited to share that to you!

Advocating Animal Welfare
Some people’s main reason for moving vegan is their love for animals. I remember an anecdote about a person who turned vegan because while catching a fish, the fish looked at her as if asking not to continue before she threw the spear and caught it. As you continue embracing the vegan life, you’ll increase sensitivity to animals. You’ll know that if people do not reduce or stop eating mean, slaughterhouses will continue to operate even for 24 hours to satisfy the demand. You’ll know that calves are taken away from their mothers after 72 hours because their mothers’ milk are not for them but for consumers. You know that your lifestyle is not helping just you but also animals.
Warriors Against Global Warming
As you go vegan, you also help reduce global warming. Global warming is caused by deforestation as no trees will absorb the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. What’s the cause of deforestation? A huge contributor to this is because companies and businessmen are moving to animal farming cutting trees for poultry and animal breeding space. The herds animals also contribute to global warming because together, they excrete methane. Recently, there was a huge fire in the Amazon. Although this is not proven yet, some says that the unfortunate event was a cover up to create more space to herd animals. Your veganism saves the world from more of these unfortunate events.
You might have moved to the vegan life because of self-benefits you can get, but creations are all interconnected. As you take care of yourself, you also take care of the animals, the trees and the environment. As you embrace the vegan life, you start humbling yourself and recognizing that being superior does not mean getting everything you want. Being superior means taking more accountability and making decisions considering the well-being of others as well.
I am looking forward to your thoughts on embracing the vegan life, so please share them with me in the comments below, or send me a message.
